Perhaps one of the most typical Florentine recipes, Schiacciata alla Fiorentina. A typical dessert of carnival but excellent at any time of the year. It is a simple and quick recipe that can be found in any cookbook of all the Tuscan grandmothers.
A dessert that has some peculiar characteristics, that is, to be high around 3 cm but was made in order to have a morbidity, all wrapped in a veil that in the most classic Florentine version highlights a Giglio, symbol of the Tuscan city.
